Angeline M. Barger
"Angeline M. Barger was born Dec. 5th, 1848 and departed
this life Dec.2, 1924, aged 75 years, 11 months and 27 days. On
November 1st 1868 shewas married to David S. Barger, and to this
union were born two children, Leona and Lon. On October 1, 1899,
the death angel came into
the home and called the husband and father away, leaving the mother
and two children. Then on the 18th of August, 1902, Leona was
called away by death, leaving the aged mother and Lon in a cold
world for awhile.
But, mid all the heartaches and pains, she always looked to that
blessed Christ in whom she believed for eternal life to guide
and and sustain her. Soon after the organization of the Baptist
Church at Eddyville, she took membership in that body and was
always present in person and
with her means to advance Christ's Kingdom. She was always ready
to stand as a witness for Christ and tell of that hope He had
given her when done with a toilsome life. She leaves to mourn
one son and give grandchildren, besides a host of other relatives
and friends. To know her was to love her, but we weep not as those
who have no hope for our loss is her eternal gain. After funeral
services at the home conducted by Elder Kyrum Maynor, the body
was taken to Old Home cemetery and tenderly laid to rest.--A Friend."
